Abstract Principles generates boredom

"And said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it."

Zechariah 2:4

Christianity is not an Abstract Principle, it's God Living inside of us. When we substitute God for an Abstract Principle, boredom creeps in as Life begins to loose it's meaning and purpose.

I'll share a personal testimony.

About a few days ago, I had to call up a fellow believer for an interview in a podcast we were creating for a ministry.

Immediately she picked up the phone I could sense that something was off, there was too much sadness in her voice. I asked what was wrong and she lamented that her elderly mother was very sick.

Quite naturally my first inclination was to pray for her, I asked that we pray together for her mother's healing. The moment we began praying God made it clear that she would pass away. With wisdom I changed it to prayers of comfort and exhortation to prepare her heart.

This was the kind of prayer that you hoped you were wrong, I would gladly be wrong about the death of her beloved mom. The next day she sent an email that her mother had passed peacefully, and she was ready for it.

When we acknowledge God Living inside of us, abstract principles dissappear and and life takes on meaning and purpose.
