The Republic

Can you perceive it? The vast multitude that keeps your world running while you share your wonderful insights in Christ, who also believe in Jesus. Can you see it? Those who have patiently waited, so you can grow in your newfound love of God and love in God. Do you realize it yet? Everything else that has to move so that you can make moves?

It's called the Republic, and it's dear to the heart of God. Many Scriptures speak of this:

Rev 7:9 (NIV) "After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."

Gen 12:2 (KJV) "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing"

Romans 13:1 (MSG) "Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it's God's order. So live responsibly as a citizen."

Nations and governments are God's ideas. For literally thousands of years, God has been building something. We don't see it yet fully, but it's taking shape and form. Many look eagerly to the end of time, and that's good, but it's also a beginning. The Republic is the sum total that makes the whole, and many republics are starting to become conscious of God. It's how corruption will end, by the obvious and apparent. It's how a new world will begin, from the dry bones of the old.

A world is coming, yes, it's even here already when we will all know God. From the inside out. No one will need to be taught because the knowledge of God will be obvious. I believe entire societies that bear witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ will be the masterpieces of God. Many prophecies in the Bible point to this, and the mess of today points to the promises of tomorrow. Till then, make yourself a witness of Jesus Christ.
