Christian Community: A Model

Everything indicates that it was not God's intention for Christian community in its earliest form to last. The Lord's command was to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth so that through the original promise made to Abraham's Seed, all the families of the earth would be blessed. Most Bible scholars agree that the dispersion of the Church in Acts 8 was sovereign in nature.

Like hidden truths in the book of Genesis, there are hidden truths inside the earliest Church of God. These truths point us to a victory over death, which Christ has already established for us. As we understand them and are confudent in them, with maturity and wisdom, we can become conduits of Christ to this world.

As a supernatural act of God, the first Church was unfied in heart and mind:

Acts 2:44-45 (MSG) And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person's need was met."

The unity of the faith that was experienced created an equal reality. A unified belief in the Church during that period translated into economic well-being. We can only imagine it to be agape in full bloom, an act of God that did not last. It wasn't long before both Peter and Paul had to remind each of their congregations (Jewish and Gentile Christians) to be of one mind and of one spirit.

Then, there was the simplicity of heart that broke out into gratitude. Gratitude towards God. Scriptures stated that: "They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. " People in general liked what they saw and gladly converted to trust in Jesus Christ.

Today, inequality is a significant problem in our world. Experienced equally by both countries and nations. We think in light of how the world was, rather than how this world could be because of the ressuretion. Some Nations have achieved this orientation away from death in all its forms (transformed and progressively changed by the renewing of their minds), much more struggle, and grapple with darkness. When these ideals are understood and taught, people would quietly receive Jesus, his wisdom, and the blessing he is to mankind.
