How did we get so deep into rules

Hello everyone, glad you could join today. We are looking at the Principle that Christianity is not a set of rules.

First, how do rules begin. They are set by God in the first place, like the instructions the Lord gave throughout the Scriptures.

These rules then trickled down through the imaginations and ideas of pioneers for the Lord, protecting the same objectives that are rooted in Scriptures.

Sometimes we have rules for Consecration. "This is what you do to get Blessed". Other times we live by rules of methodology. "Baptism water must be exactly ten feet, sort of". What we have to remember is this, rules are meant to serve the Purposes of God, and when they do, they will work. The essence of the rules are to point to and remind us of our Covenant relationship with God.

Rules have a purpose, but they reflect poorly when it comes to our

individual relationship with God. #Witness
