Inside

The Scriptures are a pathway to Divine ideas, we allow them to shape our thoughts. Our ideas must fit into the Scriptures, this means we will not always agree on everything. Church history proclaims the same thing. Today, the focus is on #inside. We are still looking at our New England couple, and their unique experience of Salvation.

For the one-time alcoholic couple. Their whole way of life changed. They became different. Something happened to them #inside. What happened? First, they were Forgiven. To be a Christian is to be forgiven, to live forgiven, and to be forgiven everyday.

What else happened? Second, they were Converted. Once under the influence of whatever, they now lived under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says: "For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves." (Colossians 1:13) Thirdly they experienced Repentance: a Divine change of heart. We Repent and we experience Repentance. "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

(Acts 2:38) These are some of the things that happened to them #inside. Their souls remained the same, with its natural gifts and abilities. Their bodies remained unchanged, as it was before they experienced conversion? Tomorrow, we'll take a look, #outside.
