Repentance: Following Jesus

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. - Genesis 1:3

Thanks for being here Today. We are still looking at Repentance, the path to Faith. It seems like Repentance has become some kind of deep doctrine, that's because of a clever ploy of the Devil.

In the Army we have something called air borne troops. Going airborne is extremely difficult and dangerous. To protect the soldiers the military created a process of elimination called Jump School. If you didn't make it through the entire process of Jump School, you were prevented from going airborne. This process creates an extremely high rate of successful jumps.

Before we can have mature faith that actually works, we need to understand Repentance. Repentance is that process where we realize that our lives don't have to run in accordance with our own abilities.

That's what Today's Scripture verse is talking about. When God says let there be light, regardless of the situation and circumstances, there will be light. This is the beginning of Faith in the life of the believer.
