So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company..
Genesis 13:11
Thanks for being here Today. We are still looking into Repentance, once we understand it Faith begins to grow in our hearts. The Bible speaks a lot about the Patriarch Abraham and his pilgrimage. Through Abraham's life, we understand more about God.
The above passage of Scriptures speaks about a low in the life of Abraham. He had brought his nephew on a journey and adventure, on this day, Lot had chosen the choicest part of their expedition for himself. Sodom looked lush and green and it seemed like Abraham had missed out.
It was when Lot had left with the best of it all that God showed up a few verses later, and this speaks powerfully about Repentance. We don't repent because we assume the purpose of God in our lives. When we do this, we are left with Reason. Repentance is seeing God in our circumstances, we may not know what he'll do, but we know God is with us.
