Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”
Luke 3:12
Thanks for being here Today. We are looking into Repentance, the precursor to Faith in God. When we hear of great stories, they inspire and warm the heart, this is the way of man. Upon hearing these stories, often times we get a boost of courage and confidence.
When this happens, the heart is deceived. That's the nature of our hearts, it is easily led astray. In describing our hearts, the Bible calls it deep and desperately wicked. We seem ok and put together until the opportunity is ripe. Wisdom then is to guard our hearts.
We don't know what was spoken, in the teaching of Repentance, but the entire Isreali Society turned to God as we see in the verse above. When Jesus came to teach and speak Faith, they were prepared and many were able to receive from the Lord.
Christianity Today is the fruit of that receiving, and it continues to spread all over the World.
