Repentance makes Truth plain

"Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind"

Romans 1:28

Thanks for being here Today, the more we understand the Word of God, the better we become. We are still looking at Repentance, the only true basis for Faith.

Before the Holy Spirit gave us the Scriptures, and Israel became known as having the Oracle of God, People understood God through nature.

It was an unstable period of time. You would see a rabbit and think 'oh what a beautiful creature of God', then a wolf would appear and eat the Rabbit. There was a concept of the Knowledge of God, but it wasn't accurate.

With the Establishment of the Scriptures, God's will became clearer and plainer. Now people could understand the will of God, and even recognize God at work in the lives of others.

When people who didn't have access to the Scriptures get this access, Faith starts to grow in their hearts, because the will of God is understood and made plain. This is the true meaning of Repentance, the Knowledge of God that turns us around, through the Scriptures.

Conversely when People know the will of God, and ignore it, God quietly begins to order their circumstances, in other that they might Repent. That's what Today's Scripture verse is talking about, not just knowing the Bible, but also responding to the Grace of God.

When this happens, True faith begins in our lives.
