Sozo means Preservation

There's so much to worry about. Yet, by faith, we can enjoy the promises of God. What God gives, nothing can steal. We are still looking at #sozo, the Greek word for Salvation, the Bible calls them things Angels desire to look into. The things God has done for us.
Another meaning of the Word #sozo is to "keep/preserve in good condition". There is a Scripture that proclaims this. "Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy" (Jude 1:24) Jesus does great things, but even more so, He preserves those things which only He can do for us. Sometimes when we purchase liquor, we are told it's aged for five years, ten years and even twenty years. Preserved in its original state, and kept in mint condition. "And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better." (Luke 5:39) Enough with the wine references, what’s most important is to know that the Lord is able to preserve and keep us in mint condition. It's part of the Salvation He has already wrought for us. When God does something for us, it's a reflection of who God is. It means God hardly does things at a scale we can handle. The temptation, then, is to try and preserve it. Something God did. It's great to know that He's also responsible to keep and preserve it.
