The Messenger

John 17:3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

Jesus Christ is the only servant of God, and the Gospel is the only message. It takes some time before we get around to this, but eventually, the realization dawns. There are more spots left in service to God. We can be messengers, and It's God's best for our lives.

Jesus gave many parables, indicating that not everyone scheduled to be in paradise will make it there. Parables like the ten virgins and the empty banquet speak of this. It's the clearest picture of the sovereignty of God. While we are here, we can join God's heart-cry that everyone sees, hear, and understand the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

There are ministries of service to the Kingdom that have become large organizations, and others are in much smaller and coordinated groups. The Lord's parable on vineyard workers indicates that it's not the length of service that counts, nor is it about the difficulties encountered. It's simply about the willingness to be a part of the message. Regardless of which hour they were hired, the workers were genuinely ready to carry out the work on the vineyard. That's what counts.

We will mature in order to relay that message better and better. What you need to know is that not every successful message will be directly about the Bible. We are relaying a message on behalf of the Author of life (Acts 3:15). Nothing is out of bounds. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God.
