Tremors of the Heart

"The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”

Hebrews 12:21

In the Old Testament, God didn't live in the hearts of Israel. Communication was possible but it had to be extreme.

In the Bible we read that God spoke to Elijah in a still small voice, so one wonders what the fire and earthquake was for. It was too satisfy Elijah's understanding of God.

That was the same case with Moses in the Scriptures we just read, the intense activity on Mt Sinai prove the God who delivered in Egypt.

Today, God can speak to us simply, in the heart, there are no need for tremors.
