Know what?
That when we are patient, we possess our souls. That a man's life does not consist of the things he acquires. That if the light that is in us is darkness, how great is that darkness? Christ shows us that motives matter.
In my younger days, I was skeptical regarding the words of Christ and the greater words of Scriptures. What the Bible inferred appeared unreasonable. That's the natural man's response to God.
As the Grace of God took hold of me, light came into my life. I'm yet to recover from the phenomenal things learned from the Word of God. Knowing Scriptures had made me a light in this world. It's the same for all of us.
Sharing that light, this message, the Gospel, is both responsibility and privilege. There's no aspect of living that it does not cover: governance, relationships, finance, marriage, the weather, sexuality, travel, and even fashion. Light is needed in every place we can think of. More so, this world is getting darker.
To that darkness, the Bible says: "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."
We know that we are the light of this world. Next up is to arise and let our light shine as we do the good works He directs us to.
