What is Truth

"What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him."

John 18:38

Hey there, thanks for being here Today. We will be looking at Repentance for a long time to come. When we understand Repentance, God is clearly seen and understood, subsequently His Blessings flow easier into our lives.

When sharing stories, it's common to have them be heroic, and inspiring. This is the way stories are told. For instance when we consider the true life stories of American pioneers, they are always inspiring and motivating.

In the Scriptures, Jesus told a story about the Prodigal Son, it's a story of tragedy that has a happy ending. The Prodigal son leaves home and everything keeps getting worse, until he returns home. If we consider this story as literal we will not be inspired to achieve much.

A more productive way to understand the story is that it is about Repentance and the Presence of God. The Prodigal son departs the presence of His Father, and until he Repents everything continues to get worse.

The story of the Prodigal son speaks of God's heart towards us and how He longs for us to return. This is how Truth works in the life of the believer. The moment we Repent regarding a specific aspect of our lives, we find that God never left, like the Father of the Prodigal son, he was waiting eagerly for us to return.
